Terms & Conditions

  1. Reservation & Payment
    A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. Rates quoted are in ZAR and include VAT where applicable. Full payment is due at check-in unless a prepayment has been arranged.
  2. Cancellation & No-Show
    Cancellations made more than 48 hours before scheduled arrival incur no fee. Cancellations within 48 hours or failure to arrive (no-show) will be charged one night’s stay plus applicable taxes.
  3. Check-In & Check-Out
    • Check-in time begins at 2:00 p.m.
    • There is no check-in permitted after 10:00 p.m.
    • Check-out time is by 11:00 a.m.
  4. Room Inspection on Departure
    Upon check-out, the owner or manager on duty will conduct a walkthrough inspection of the room in the presence of departing guests to verify the room’s condition.
  5. Occupancy & Extra Guests
    Each room has a maximum occupancy as listed. Additional guests must be registered and may incur extra charges.
  6. Smoking & Pets
    All guest rooms and public areas are non-smoking. A cleaning fee of ZAR 2,000 applies if evidence of smoking is found. Pets are not permitted unless pre-approved in writing.
  7. Damages & Lost Items
    Guests are responsible for any damage, loss or theft of hotel property occurring during their stay. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the guest’s account.
  8. Quiet Hours & Conduct
    To ensure all guests’ comfort, quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Excessive noise or disruptive conduct may result in immediate termination of stay without refund.
  9. Liability
    The hotel is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of personal belongings. We recommend using the in-room safe for valuables.
  10. Force Majeure
    The hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, acts of government, or interruption of utilities.
  11. Privacy & Data Protection
    We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By booking, you consent to the use of your data for reservation and billing purposes.
  12. Governing Law
    These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mbombela.
  13. Entire Agreement
    These Terms & Conditions, together with your booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Leonardo's Guest House with respect to your stay.
